i have a starting problem

when the car is cold it will start but then it cuts out, when you start it again and rev it for about 3 min it works ok also there is a orange light come on the dashboard which looks like a little engine my car is a toyota supra 1989 3L turbo auto many thanks dawn

p.s hope any one can help me it is driving me mad.

The little light, the one on the far left of dash, is the 'low coolant' in the plastic overflow bottle warning. Fill the bottle 1/2 way.

The start probplem is likely you cold start injector circuit. The sensor may be disconnected or not working. Or the injector itself may not be working.

Check the TSRM fo test proceedures.

I believe the cold start injector is at the top of the intake manifold right in the center after the throttle body. But i may be wrong.
