I assume you have a supra. Search the site its on here.... turbo 230-232, NA 200. That flywheel on a new motor not a 15-20 year old one.

Default Just be careful

200hp new, at the flywheel. My 89na went 125mph before intake and exhaust mods. Last time I "tested" it, I went 138mph, with a bit more peddle to go. I ran out of room.

Also, my son said to be very careful 'where' I do speeds over 130mph, because if I hit a dip, and get air under the car, it can get air bourne and flip over.
(He is a C130 airplane pilot in the Coast Gaurd, so he knows these things).

thats not realistic, hitting a dip going 130 and it flipping over. ive seen those speed boats on tv doing that but they are like a third of the weight the supra and going faster. i cant see a car a ton and a half flipping over cause of air sweeping under it.

I've seen a video of an RX-7 goin about 215, hitting a dip and getting flipped. It went about 15' into the air.

well to get any car going that fast, it needs to be light. also, its going about 215, not 130

Cool

take the car to a dyno and have it tested
it's much safer

Read this 'death' story about a car getting airborne upon hitting a 'dip' in the road.
http://www.honoluluadvertiser.com/ap...0324/1001/NEWS

(another article on same story)...
Investigators said the driver was going at least 75 miles an hour, or three times the posted speed limit. The car went airborne over a dip in the road. It flipped onto its side and slammed into a utility pole. The two girls died at the scene.

another death story...
A sophomore at ..... High School died Friday evening in an automobile accident on Fairfield Road. Driver was traveling west-bound about a mile from Riggs Road, near the Indiana border, when his car went airborne as it came out of a dip in the road, according to Deputy Jim Mueller of the Butler County Sheriff Department's Traffic Investigation Unit. The vehicle landed and driver lost control. After trying to regain control in the right lane, driver overcorrected and ended up on the left side of the roadway where he struck a tree. Mueller said speed was a factor in the accident.

My point is, high speeds and dips in the road can lead to accidents. So know the road before 'testing' the top speed of your car.

Thats why you do it on the freeway, there are no dips that will send you airborne on the freeway...

j3pzi think they mean " dips " like speed traps, not the dips that just ( just ? ) make you bottom out when you hit them at close to 200kph on a long stretch when you hit them then land. that's why you have spoilers and skirt kits

So I bought this old Honda bike, an NSR250. Bit of a street racer, I guess. I'm told they're fast.

Delivering it home with a friend driving the Supra for the first time. I drop gears and make a scream from the twin pipes flowing down this pony's flanks and it takes off like it's tail's on fire.

I look back when the Honda gets to its tap-out and the Supra's only two lengths behind. No one I've let ride my bike has told me its slow, they've all loved the thing. That car is a good thing indeed.
