What engine could i swap my 1g-gteu with
i have a 1992 toyota supra with 1g-gteu which would be the best performance engine or has the most after market parts and would fit in this easily without the change in transmission ? |

Hrmm..
I think the 1G uses the same tranny as the 7M-GE... so if you go 7M-GTE you'll need the turbo tranny.

The tranmissions is a V160 6 speed. Lots of fabrication to fit the motor and tranny. To fit the tranny, you need to bang out the tranny tunnel a little more. And for the engine, you'll need to do a little work on the firewall because the turbos wont fit. Im sure theres a lot more need to do with electronics and such and it will be a big expensive job. But thats all I can offer as I havent seen many people do this swap or experienced it myself.

Well, Im going to be building up a 7MGTE very soon. And the cost for the engine parts and fuel components that I need will cost me about $8535. It will be around 600HP. And on top of that it'll be much easier to swap in than a 2JZ since the 7M already came in the car. But if you want to go twin turbo, then go with a 1JZ. But 1 big turbo will beat 2 little ones anyday in my opinion.
