this is ussually a sign of a bhg. get a compression test done, all 6 cylinders should read around 160psi (sound correct?).

If you have white smoke coming out of the exhaust, it smells like coolant, and the oil in the oil cap is kind of milky, then its a BHG.

a local mechanic should be able to perform one. heard they might charge like $15 or something, or you could buy a compression gage and all the due-hickies and do it yourself.

When you get coolant in the engine oil, you greatly decrease the oil's lubrication properties, then you get rod knock/spinning bearings (very expensive to fix).
Don't drive it or let that crap run through your engine oil passages if it is indeed oil and coolant mixing. Is the oil foamy at all? Do you have oil residue in your coolant overflow tank? Performing a cooling system pressure test may or may not indicate a leak since sometimes leaks are intermittent. I would try it though anyways. There are other tests, but they may be over your head (no offense--I was a new to engines to once). Do you know of any mechanics that would let you borrow their tools?
