Get a good headgasket. Thats a weak point in the engine. Get a metal HG and you'll never have to worry about it again, unless it wasnt put in properly.

Wink Metal more $$

It cost alot more to use a metal gasket than a OEM or similar. Do a search on this forum and you will find all kinds of threads on replacing the gaskets. A metal gasket REQUIRES the head & block to have a MUCH finer finish.
Enough said.

He means the surface of the head and block need to be as smooth as possible otherwise you woun't get the best seal. With oem type gaskets it does not have to be as smooth because it can mold better to sufaces that aren't purfectly smooth. I just had head gasket work done to my Supra, had to get a new head, and two Knock sensors too.
