Default manual trans on auto motor...

ok...can i put my 7mge flywheel, clutch and tranny on my 7mgte motor? and if not if i gotta get a 7mgte tranny and all do i have to change the driveshaft on my already 5 spd ready supra?

sorry alittle confused on the auto to manual part........i believe the turbo tranny and non turbo tranny will bolt up the same. and i just bought a jdm 7mge that was an auto.....and i changed my fly wheel and whole cluthc assembly on to the new motor form the old one. so that what i have for info if this doesn't help you please clarify what you need to know and i'll try to hlep more.

ok heres the situation....i have a 89 turbo auto supra for parts....and a 87 non turbo 5 spd supra with blown motor....now...im puttin that turbo motor in my 5 spd supra...so i was wondering if i can just take the flywheel off my blown 7mge and bolt it up to my 7mgte along with the clutch and tranny....

yes.....the only problem is htat hte non turbo tranny is weaker than the turbo tranny.......so when adding boost you may kill it.

The flywheel isnt the same. Its a different bolt pattern. But the clutch and tranny will bolt up without problems. The only reason the flywheel doesnt fit is because it bolts onto the motor not the transmission. So it has a different bolt pattern than a GE. Good luck with it. And if you plan on going past 350HP you might want to consider an R154 transmission.

W58 = 7M-GE 5 speed transmission
R154 = 7M-GTE 5 speed transmission
A340E = Auto tranny for both

arrite thanx that was helpful....honestly...i would rather put the r154 tranny in but the closest place that has one is about 400 miles from me....so thats not gonna work...for now i wanna use my w58 till a r154 comes around....
