I received a 7mgte ecu from a automatic car for free from my friend. My car is a 5 speed but i was wondering if it would work with my car because i need a new one. I dont think it will but im just wondering because it would be one less thing i would have to buy. Let me know what you think and if it wont work i might be interested in selling in or possibly trading

It'll work. BUT, what year is the ECU that you got and what year is your car?

Well i am doing the 7mgte swap into the mkII. The ecu is out of an 88 and i know that it only works with the 87-88 engines so i will keep it and see what year engine i find to put in it.

I have an 87-88 ecu. It has yellow connectors, with an extra connector attached. Let me know.
