use a breaker bar to loosen the pulley bolt . if you do get it off make sure to to use a torque wrench to put it back on tight. the manual says to torque it down to 196lbs . if it gets loose on you it will damage the inside of the pulley and the crank shaft.

If you have a manual trannie put it in gear and have someone step on the brakes, if an auto you will probably need air impact tools like the ones used to put on tires.

First, you won't bend any valves. Supras are "non-interference" engines, fortunately. If you can't prevent the crank from turning by some simpler method, you can have a 3" rod welded to the end of an old spark plug. Use a rod about 7/16" dia.--just small enough to slip thru the threaded hole. Grind the sharp edges off the bottom and screw it all the way into a spark plug hole. It will stop that piston from rising more than ~halfway, and the load on the piston won't be very high, compared to what it would be if you use a short rod.
AFTER I got my damper off I used a big drill bit to countersink the threaded holes on the front. As I recall I had a hard time getting the puller bolts into the stock threaded holes.

Put a breaker bar on it, make it so that the handle touches the floor. Then just blip the ignition quickly. Bad things will happen if the car starts. Lol.
