just bought a new engine!!
i just bought a 7mgte and 5spd trans. I got a real good deal on it. anyway the first thing i do to it is get a mhg and arp head studs and im trying to find a shop in chicago were i can get the head and block redone to fit the mhg properly. so if anyone knows a good shop in chicago let me know and what thikness gasket should i get? does it depend on how much they take off? thanks PEACE

Ask the machine shop how much they removed from the block and head and make up the difference with the headgasket. And make sure you give it to them with the front timing plate for when they machine and lap the block.

And be sure to tell them to machine the inner timing cover. They won't unless you ask.
