hmm that seems like alot of work just to set it up for drifting. i agree with everyone else, i dont think its worth the amount of money and work involved. your better off just stickin with the 7mgte or swapping it with a 1jz/2jz, with the 7mgte you will have to keep up on oil, check it before you drift it. the oil tends to slosh around in there. but just get yourself some good coil overs, strut bars, and a cheap set of tires or maby some good drift tires if your willing to spend. and you can drift that supra like there is no tomorrow. hell i drift mine everyday. and its almost completly stock. its not that hard of a car to drift you just goto get the feel for it, learn how heavy it is, have a feel for when you need to give it more gas. just go drift in a big empty parking lot in the middle of no where and do perfect donuts and figure 8's you'll get it down. if you lived closer id teach you how to do it

and dcrusupra told you how to do it.

Its ALOT of work to try and get a transversely mounted engine to sit longitudally. I schemed up a plan to try and do that with the japan exclusive version of the sr20vet, which is a rare version of the sr20det with vvti like timing control for nissan on my 240sx. BUT after alot of research decided that there was waaaay to much fabrication involved and labor for the benifits. Although in ur case there is no physical power gain like there would be in my swap, urs is completely pointless. And even if you wanted to TRY and get this engine to sit transversely in a supra (impossible), it wouldnt be a drift car. I mean yea there are light crx's and light older civics that drift, but there not a 3700lb rwd front heavy car...

Maybe a crx since I have seen a rwd crx here b4 and they are pretty light
I don't see why it couldn't drift

Idk about a civic, I guess a rwd conversion isn't too farfetchd
I have seen a 4g63 powered awd civic
That was a crazy setup

But he askd if he had to covert it into a rwd, that makes me wonder if he really knows what he's doing

But here's sum food for thought
Why don't u use the mr2 drivetrain
And create a MR supra
But be sure to find a way to put the engine in front of the rear wheel
Now that would be unique

Some eg civics are said to be able to take the awd-train from the element or cr-v i dont remember which one. with modification of coarse.

They take it from a crv, they steal those a lot cuz of the engine, so they can put it in their civics

That's the same thing I'm after too, after my enguine gets done I'm saving up money for the rear end, and try compete in amateur drift events,
cuz it will be pretty hard to compete in the drag circuit since its already plagued with 10 second mkiv supras
