Default burning oil why???

Ok...I got this car since February I did tune up oil change all that stuff..This Saturday was the first time I took it for a long drive...total 250kms. I decided to check the oil today and it was all gone!...What happened??. There is no visable oil leak to speak of that I can see or it would be all over my driveway. Anyone know why it would be burning that much oil?...How serious is this?...

Well, if you are burning oil its probably that your piston rings are worn and the oil is getting into the cylinders on top of the pistons where the combustion takes place and gets burned off when the spark plugs ignite the air/fuel mixture.

Agree, but to consume that much oil he probably also has a tired engine.

I would suggest doing a compression test first off to eliminate the piston rings. Vavle guides suck just because the easiest way to do them is to remove the head and then do them because you have to remove the valve springs. My old 7m was doing the same thing if it sat a while when I was out of town it would throw smoke for like 10 seconds. But on a lighter note valve guides are cheap to buy but that doesnt make them easy to get to. Most people when you get ready to do those you are already there might was well rebuild the whole head. That is what they were saying about a tired 7m it may just be ready for a rebuild.

On eBay u can buy a completely rebuild head with new parts for the 7m for 400$ then you swap them out and send it back if you want
