yea exactly, all you have to do is rpm match. Iv been doing it so long i can efficently downshift without using the clutch. You just have to know what rpm to match at. Pull it into gear and viola.

My point is simply that it induces more wear on the drivetrain overall than is necissary. The clutch was just an example. I really just don't see the point in making a full time habit of it... Sure, your brake pads may last longer, but they're still cheaper and involve less down time than repairing the other items you're beating on... especially if the owner doesn't do their own work.

Rev matching is definitely key, but I'm not about to suggest it to someone I don't know who may just end up tearing up their drive train trying to figure it out. It doesn't come naturally to everyone.

haha i hear that. It takes years to get it completely down, to where you dont even think of what gear your in, you just naturally shift/down shift. If your doing autocross, like i like to participate in/ or road cross, which im definately starting to get into, downshifting and engine breaking is a must.
