the 7mgte trans doesn't fit the 2jz. i know it will for the 1jz but you need to buy a diffrent bell housing but 2jz is probably diffrent.

Even if it did, think about it
How long do u think the 7m tranny will last against that engine b4 it breaks apart
I think the 2jz is jus too beefy for a 7m tranny

Really all depends on how much HP your 2J has. The R154 can handle upwards of 400+ RWHP. Stock 2J is only 320.

my point excatly, how long do you think 2jz owners are gonna keep the engine in stock form
it doesnt take much for that engine to go 400+ hp
so might as well get a tranny for it when u get the 2j

guys there are plenty of r154 on 400+hp engines... the 1jz is 280hp stock... will it survive a stock 2jz? probably... will it survive a beefed up 2jz? probably not.

all the r154 needs to bolt up to a 2jz is a custom bell housing.

I am actually going to trust the R154 tranny with my 550+Hp engine im building. I will get the tranny rebuilt regardless but thats just to make sure it wont break.

Why not jus get the 2jz tranny which is gonna b stronger
Rather than investing money into something that might actually break?

Plus what are the diffrence in gear ratios between the two trannys
