Arrow Automatic Targa Top?

Is there any device available to make the '89 targa top automatic?

It's a real bitch having to unscrew and stow it every time the sun is out. =]

Also, (unrelated) is there a reason the hatch is so damn heavy? Weight-balancing? My hydraulics went and that thing must weigh at least 100lb.

Drill with a allen key attachment? No automatic tops as far as I know. The hatch is so heavy cuz of the back glass.

Ah that would make sense, I guess glass is kinda heavy. =]

I was googling and came across "transtop" (http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2300460/3) -- Would be nice if there were something like this available for the supra. I bet that thing is kinda heavy though.

That would definitely be pretty sweet, but it's obviously a lot of work. You'd have to be pretty dedicated and annoyed with taking the top off to do that, lol.

change the glass on the hatch to plexiglass. I had to do it cause my sound system blew the glass out. now it is much lighter. also that transtop thing looks sick... i wish i had one but it requires tons of work
