I'm trying to check out stuff on my '82 Supra and can't find any info on how to use the check connectors in my Chilton's book besides for the fuel pump. Also, there doesn't seem to be the check...

vacuum advance/retard
how do you test the dual diaphragm vacuum distributor? i replaced all the questionable vacuum lines and any others i could easily get to anf no luck with the idle. so i tried disconnecting them one...

idle adjustment?
how do you adjust the idle on the 5m-ge engine of an 82 supra? it idles around 1200 rpm and i think that might be part of my problem

tried adjust the throttle cable this weekend,...
tried adjust the throttle cable this weekend, didnt do anything. so i tried the two stop adjustments and made a lil difference, but even at the max adjustment it still idles around 1000 rpms.

it's the 5mge. ill try to check all the vacuum...
it's the 5mge. ill try to check all the vacuum lines, there are so many! there was a lot of debris in the tank when i first got the car and i think i got it all out, but i didnt have it boiled out...

the idle is around 1200 when the book says it should be like half that, but it doesnt sound like a back fire or anything. its just that the car doesnt have a lot of acceleration until 2500 rpms or...
