lol forgot to mention..
The reason I wanna replace the engine is that I did a compression test on my car with a standard piston tester and I got 125,129,126,125,123,125... The normal factory spec for a solid motor is 142 or...

ya probably the turbo..
It might be cause the oil is everywhere.... However my car doesnt burn oil!:bigthumb: Thank God for that lol. Instead of replacing my turbo I was thinking of just swapping in a low milage jspec 7m....

The TPS is unplugged because when at 2000 rpm the car surges at idle.. If I drive at 2000 rpm for a while, when coming to a stop the car drops idle and dies. When I unplugged the TPS this issue goes...

Power steering pump.. 89 turbo.
My power steering pump was making noise and the wheel was getting hard to turn, so I decided to replace it. I bought one of of ebay from a user with a pos feedback of 99.9%. I pulled the old pump out...

Is the sc400 maf compatable??? HELP.

Thanks for all your input guys. It helped alot. I think I will do the RHD conversion. But have decided to take welding classes first... If I am not ready by summer time I will still do the 1jz swap...

Is it any harder to do a 1jz swap into an 86.5 compared to the other years?
I thought that all I need to make it fit in all 88 and under cars is a 89+ crossmember and motor mounts??

The reason for doing the swap...
I know its more cost effective to just upgrade the 7m but I at the moment have low compression numbers on all 6 cylinders.. If I wanna do any type of racing im gonna need a better engine or rebuild...

RHD conversion...
Anyone done a right hand drive conversion on an mk3? I am getting a full front clip in the summer and would rather use all the parts from it to convert to RHD so I dont have to lengthen the harness....
